Today is hot sunny day.

The picture on the left shows the Won Tan Noodle with Char Siew Meat (sometime we call Char Siew Noodle in Singapore). The Won Tan is the meat dumpling, the soap is tasty and the noddle is usually those thin noodle. Each bowl of Won Tan noodle cost about S$2.5 (about 175 Japanese Yen), sometime S$3.5 (about 240 Japanese Yen). I like Won Tan Noodle very much.

Tonight needs to catch up homework for e-Business homework.

Today is hot sunny day.

The pictures above show one of the most popular food in Singapore - Chicken Rice. The chicken is boiled in the water and then placed in the cold water. The chicken soap from the boiled container is then used to cook the rice, that is the reason why the rice tastes soo good! One plate of chicken rice is about S$2.5 or S$3.5 depending on the location.

Today most staff received yearly performance bonus letter and everyone is so happy. I have not received my performance bonus letter yet but should be ok.

Today practice piano early and now quickly to study the coursework.

This morning cloudy with light rain. Sunny day in the afternoon.

The picture shows the Roti-Prata. This is a South Indian Pancake, most of them are being made and sold by Indian stall here in Singapore. There is also one cup of Tea with milk.

Roti-Prata is very popular in Singapore and taste very nice even without curry shown in the bowl. One Roti-Prata costs S$0.60 or above 40 Japanese Yen. I love Roti-Prata so much that we can even take 3-4 pieces as lunch or dinner. The South India Curry is not very hot. The reason why there is a cup of English Tea with milk is a perfect combination with Roti-Prata. So the Roti-Prata (4 pieces) + 1 English Tea with milk will cost S$3.0 in hawker centre (or 215 Japanese Yen).

By the way, in Singapore, many people take their dinner in the food court/hawker centre, only need not more than S$4.0 or S$5.0 for the dinner or lunch (S$5.0 is about 350 Japanese Yen).

Today is a good day and we managed to come out with a long term plan that we are thinking of for the long time.

Tonight must start my MBA course homework, otherwise I will be late for homework submission. Seem like no time for Piano practice.

Sunny day in Singapore. The picture on the left is Singapore Esplanade Concert Hall, we call it "Durian" because she look like Durian.
Tonight attended the Jubilate Concert. The concert has a mix of Chinese and Western instruments. Particular nice is the Guzheng group (about 20 of them playing together, look rather grand and sound very nice with all of them playing together. The string orchestra also very nice except 2nd piece of music is a bit slow.
Yesterday didn't touch the piano, I must quickly go practice my piano pieces.

This evening went for 2km walk and feel good.

Today learnt about 90/10 principle, 90% of the time you have the control, only 10% of the time you don't have control (such as bus comes late, raining day etc). With this 90% of control by myself, I can control myself not to get angry, I can control myself to do things the right way without worry what other people say, I can control what I say by thinking through first....

For the other 10%, I just have to live with it and adjust myself, for example, if someone wants to say certain things the way they wish, so be it, let it be and I don't have to bother. How wonderful is this 90/10 principle.

Today Ben told me he lost his new handphone (Nokia 6020). He managed to call SingTel and ask them to retain the same number.

Today also discussed about the grand plan and how we should execute this grand plan.

This morning rain and didn't go for jogging, instead watching TV (but don't feel good because didn't feel healthy, somehow after jogging make me feel healthy and the world is wonderful).

Lunch time went to Ang Mo Kio ate Roti-parata, very nice curry indeed and the roti-parata is chewy.

Today spent sometime practice piano (only 2 exam pieces) and spent most time surfing.

Also, spent sometime thinking about "Positive Thinking" and "Negative Thinking". For the same events, one can view it as positive from one angle, yet the same person can view it also from the other angle and become negative. If we control ourselve and try to think positively, many things can turn positively and you will find how wonderful is our life. At least this is what I think. But to be frank with you, sometime I can't help but have negative thinking.

I am amazed by the pictures taken from the space telescope (Hubble Telescope put up by NASA), as well as those spacecraft fly by various planets such as Saturn. I guess many people are not awared that the space outside our planet looks so colour and beautiful. The picture just above the text (or the bottom one) is one beautiful picture of another galaxy.
  • Blue Star Galaxy
The Hubble telescope's sharp vision has clearly seen - for the first time - hot blue stars deep inside an elliptical galaxy. Hubble confirms that the ultraviolet light emanating from this galaxy comes from a population of extremely hot, helium-burning stars at a late stage in their lives. The swarm of nearly 8,000 blue stars resembles a blizzard of snowflakes near the core of the neighboring galaxy M32, 2.5 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Andromeda.
  • Saturn
The picture on the top shows the sequence of images captured by Hubble Space Telescope from 1996 to 2000, it shows the Saturn's rings open up from just past edge-on to nearly fully open as it moves from autumn towards winter in its Northern Hemisphere.
Today spend lots of time practice piano, and also spend sometime sleeping, just don't feel like doing course work. Going shopping afterward.

Micro-saving is very important, I leart this after reading several articles and start micro-saving last year. With micro-saving, I calculated that I can save up to S$50K every year. With the $50K in fixed deposit of 3% interest, I can earn S$1,500/- every year for many years, plus compounded interest effect over the year, the S$50K can become S$100K in about 20 years if I am not wrong.

So start micro-saving, every year S$50K, and you will see the amazing results.
